Professional Experience
Mitchell Allen is the senior managing partner in the Allen Law Firm, LLC. Mr. Allen graduated with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, with honors, from the Ohio State University in 1987. He attended New College, Oxford, England in 1985. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1990. In law school, Mr. Allen received several academic honors. In his final year of law school, he was selected for the Jessup International Moot Court competition team that went on to Washington D.C. for the final competition.
Mr. Allen represents clients with various legal needs. Mr. Allen’s main areas of practice are bankruptcy, business litigation, family law, immigration, and estate planning and probate. He has extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. In addition to the above areas, he represents many businesses in the area and provides them with an array of legal services. Mr. Allen is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Ohio, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the United States Immigration Court.
Mr. Allen served as an acting judge from 1996 to 2006.
